Hiking

The Hiking Program at Paradise Ranch is second to none.

Whether you are an avid outdoorsman or just want to take a lazy stroll across our wildflower-strewn mesa, we have a wide array of hikes to suit everyone.

All hikes are led by an experienced naturalist guide and wind through acres and acres of The Bighorn National Forest. Try the sunrise hike to Fan Rock for a magnificent view of the ranch in the wee hours and enjoy hot coffee and muffins when you reach your destination. Thursday afternoon is a hiking highlight of the week with an all downhill hike offered through the Crazy Woman Canyon, a hike with history and scenery abound. Hikes range in length and level of difficulty but no matter which hike you go on, you'll not be subjected to the same scenery twice.

Native wildlife is frequently spotted along the trails around Paradise Ranch. Antelope and mule deer are often seen grazing along the mesa while the mountain birds sing in the lofty pines overhead. For avid hikers all-day hikes are offered by request. Enjoy an all-day trip to the high desert "Outlaw Cave" which was one of the hideouts of Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid. The Seven Brothers high mountain lakes are another popular all-day hiking destination. Regardless of which hikes you decide to trek, it is certain that the beauty of The Bighorn Mountains will take your breath away and you will feel closer to the Great Wyoming Outdoors.
